Paul was born and raised in Markham and now divides his time between Uxbridge and Toronto. He has performed in and around York and Durham Regions, including appearances at Wintersong Music Festival, Fridays at the Foster at the Foster Memorial, Banjo Cider, Whitevale Porchfest and the Stouffville Strawberry Festival. He regularly performs at open mics in the area as well. 

 

Paul has been playing guitar and writing songs since he was a teenager and has begun to actively record and perform his songs in the last several years. He has quickly become well-known in the music community in the Uxbridge/Markham/Stouffville area which has led to the performances referred to above. His songs are available on Spotify, Apple and YouTube. All these songs were recorded at Chalet Studio in Uxbridge;  new songs will be released over balance of 2026. Paul also has a large repertoire of covers, including songs by artists such as The Beatles, Neil Young, Jason Isbell, Ryan Adams, Paul Simon, Gordon Lightfoot and James Taylor. 

 

The original songs Paul has written show influences of folk and country music as well as rock ’n’ roll. Paul’s songs fall within that wide range of music which traces its history back to The Band and is now occupied by such artists as Jason Isbell, Gillian Welch, Blue Rodeo, Emmylou Harris, Ryan Adams, Steve Earle and Lucinda Williams. Paul enjoys all these artists’ work and his own songs no doubt reflect their influence.
